AGREEMENT COOPERATION SIGNED President Novakovic emphasizes that the Agreement is significant for getting sources for the realization of the projects since founders very well estimate the twinning of municipalities. Transfers of knowledge, skills and experience will be from both-sided – says president Novakovic. We will, first of all, for Lazarevac Municipality transfer first of all our knowledge that refers to the introduction of ISO standard 9001 – Quality Standard and Communication System INFO 48. Branko Boric, president of Lazarevac Municipality emphasized that one very significant agreement was signed. Palilula and Lazarevac are both parts of big city systems of the City of Nis and City of Belgrade. I think that the experiences that we have, emphasized Boric, should be shared so that the status of our municipalities could be even better. This is all with the aim not only that our administrations have more authorizations, but also that the needs of our citizens could be in adequate way satisfied, so that they could be more successful in solving citizens demands. Lazarevac Municipality is about 60 km from Belgrade and with the signing of this Agreement we are enriching our knowledge and adopt the examples of good practice of the other communities. Zoran Cvetanovic, member of Lazarevac Municipal Council, Veljko Mihailovic, head of administration and Milos Zivkovic, chief of president cabinet were all present at the reception in Palilula together with colleagues from Palilula: Bojan Ilic, head of administration and Council members Milos Stojkovic, Zorica Stojiljkovic, Milan Stevanovic, Boban Mikic and Ivan Jovanovic, general secretary of Palilula Assembly. Both presidents, who signed the Agreement, agreed that with this Agreement, first of all, will be realized the aims like: improvement of the work of local self governments over the experience exchange and realization of common projects, encouraging and realization of conditions for optimal decentralization on all levels, active role of local self governments for the improvement of legal frame over the dialogue with Republic institutions and organizations, citizens life quality improvement and creating conditions for efficient inclusion of civil society into decision making processes, common development with respecting principles of sustainable development, harmonization and coordination, support to regional development and projects, harmonization and linking the interests of private and public sectors. |
